Margit S. Piseck (Palmitesso/Singer)

Ilion - Margit S. Piseck, 84, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, at Wynn Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Margit was born in Sulzbach-Rosenburg, Germany. She moved to the US by way of New York City with her family in 1958. Margit and her family first settled in the Trenton falls area then Utica and Frankfort and eventually landing in Ilion for many years. She was wed to the late Carl Palmitesso. Later in 1989, Margit married John Piseck. They enjoyed 20 years of marriage, until his passing in 2009.
Some of Margit and John's most memorable trips were when they traveled to her home town in Germany with her brother, his wife and daughter where they spent time with their cousins Martin & Heike Stockl, son Marcus and many friends. Margit's last visit was in 2013, where she shared a special trip with her granddaughter Tonya. They both cherished those memories. Margit loved spending time with her family and especially with her grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting many blankets for her grandchildren. Her hobbies included arts and crafts, watercolor drawing, crossword puzzles along with cooking and baking, especially around the holidays. Everyone loved eating at "Nani's" house. She enjoyed gardening outside and taking care of her house plants. Margit worked very hard her whole life and took retirement in January of 2009. She was a highly skilled solderer and board assembler for Trenton Technology. She had previously worked at GN Nettest, Laser Precision, and ICL Computers. She had a great work ethic and took great pride in her quality of the projects she worked on.
Margit was an exceptionally strong and special mom. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. Survivors include her loving family, Margit's brothers Joseph Singer and Hans Peter Sait. Her children Rosemarie Manella- Provorse and Gordon Provorse, Peter and Patricia Palmitesso, and Joseph Palmitesso. Grandchildren, Tonya and Leo Meyers Jr., Frank and Kristen Manella, Justin and Iwona Manella, Crystal and Gary Grimshaw Jr., Sarah and Andrew Barberio, Peter Palmitesso Jr. and Tiffany Jones, Anthony and Jenna Palmitesso, Kalin and Michael Bianchi, Amanda Kealy, Antonio and Francesca Aiello, Josiah Brown, Serenity Riggsby. Great grandchildren Leo Meyers III, Ryan Meyers and Savannah Otero, Caleb Meyers, Gabryella Manella, Bryana Manella, Amelia Manella, Rocco Manella, Gary Grimshaw III, Gavyn Grimshaw, Grayson Grimshaw, Gryffin Grimshaw, Adriana Barberio, Andie Jo Barberio, Domenic Jones, Alexis Palmitesso, Angelina Palmitesso, Sophia Palmitesso, Theo Palmitesso, Michael Bianchi, Brandon Bianchi, Cherish Supino, Great great grandchildren, Selena Meyers, Ryan Meyers Jr.
Margit was predeceased in death by her Mother Margarete Singer/Sait and her father Joseph Singer. Also Margit's step father Irgaz Sait, Sister-in-laws Patricia Singer and Joanne Sait.
Per Margit's wishes there will be no calling hours. Private interment will be at Crown Hill Memorial Park at a later date.

The family of Margit would like to extend sincere thanks to our mother's neighbors and friends for their endless support and kindness. We also wish to thank the Doctors from the Mohawk Valley Medical Practice. Dr. Anwar Wassel, Dr. Emile Wassel, and Dr. Mario Wassel for their heartfelt care. Including Dr.Yekaterina Kashtonova and Np.Theresa Hutchins. Especially all of the nurses and the office staff who always made our mother feel special while under their care. We also want to thank the 3rd floor ICU and 5th floor CTICU nurses at Wynn hospital. They were a comfort to her and the family.
Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave. Frankfort.
