Mohawk - Mr. Louis Richvalsky, 85, of Robinson Rd. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Herkimer on August 16, 1928, the son of the late Michael and Anna Drombrovska Richvalsky and he attended Owen D. Young School, graduating with the class of 1946. He was married to June Colman on August 12, 1950 in Paine's Hollow Church. Louis was a self-employed Farmer at Richvalley Farms until his retirement in 1990. Louis is survived by his beloved wife, June Richvalsky of Mohawk; three sons and daughters in law, Michael and Sandra Richvalsky of Mohawk, Thomas and Amanda Richvalsky of Richfield Springs, Robert "Harry" and Rebecca Richvalsky of Mohawk; one daughter and son in law, Kathy and Steven Staruck of Mohawk; one sister, Helen Brandon of Ilion; his grandchildren and their spouses, Andrew and Kelly Staruck, Kelly and Thomas Rudd, Cassie and Tim Winslow, Tanya and Ladd Warwick, Bobbi Sue and James Clark, Shay Richvalsky and fiancé Maxine Johnson, Kyle Richvalsky and Kaity Richvalsky; 10 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Steven Richvalsky, one sister, Mary Mead and his granddaughter, Melissa Richvalsky-Lasowski. His funeral will be held Friday morning at 10:30 AM in the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer, with the Rev. Robert Wollaber, officiating. Interment will be in Mohawk Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday morning at 8:30 AM until the time of services in the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Louis' memory may be made to the Richfield Ambulance Corps, PO Box 1456, Richfield Springs, NY 13439. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
