Linda M. Huening

Hillsboro, OR - Bridgewater, NY - Linda M. Huening, 56, of 32715 SW Laurel Rd in Hillsboro Oregon, formerly of Coupe Hill Road and Bridgewater, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 in Tuality Community Hospital surrounded by her family. Linda was born in Ilion, NY on April 26, 1960, the daughter of Jean Papa and the late Angelo Papa. Linda met her husband Peter Huening while he worked on her family's farm, and they married on April 21, 1979 in Frankfort United Methodist Church. Linda and Peter shared 37 blissful years of marriage, traveling to New Jersey and North Carolina to pursue opportunities for their family, and most recently to Oregon to be close to their grandchildren. Linda is survived by her husband, Peter Huening; two daughters and sons in law, Jennifer Huening and Markus Kuhn of Hillsboro, OR and Jessica Huening of Seattle, WA; her mother, Jean Papa of Frankfort; one sister and brother in law, Cindy and Peter Pianella, and their daughter De Anna Pianella of Frankfort; one brother and sister in law, Peter and Elena Papa and their son, Joshua Papa of Riverside, CA and two beloved grandchildren, Alexander and Katherine Kuhn. Linda was predeceased by her son, Peter Huening; and her father, Angelo Papa. Linda's funeral will be held Saturday, January 28th at 1:00 in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home Inc., 203 Second Ave, Frankfort, NY, with a service to celebrate her life led by Rev. Robert Wollaber. Interment will follow at 2:15 in Crown Hill Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest with her son, Peter Huening. Calling hours will be Saturday from 11:00 AM to the time of service in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Family members are invited to join. A gathering will be held after the service on Saturday, January 28th from around 3:00 PM- 7:00 PM at Francesca's at 144 East Main Street, Ilion, NY, where food and refreshments will be served with all welcome to attend.
