Frankfort-Mrs. Linda S. Fresco, 57, of 312 Bee St passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 21, 2007 in her home.
I was born in Herkimer on October 2, 1949, the daughter of the late William O. and Mary Alice Holt Pett. I attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort-Schuyler High School and later attended and graduated from HCCC with a degree in Data Processing in 1986 and then attended and graduated from MVCC in 1989 with a degree in Retail Business and Banking Insurance with Honors. I was married to John Fresco on August 26, 1966 in Frankfort. John passed away on October 24, 2000. I was a Rural Carrier for the Frankfort Post Office and an associate for Walmart, Herkimer. I am a Communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the National Rural Letter Carriers Association.
I am survived by three sons and two daughters in law, John Fresco Jr of Utica, Joseph & Tammy Fresco of Andover, NY and Roger & Crystal Fresco of Frankfort; my grandchildren, Devin LaPorte, Crystal Fresco, John Fresco III, Jade Fresco, Justin Fresco, Nicole Fresco, Julie Fresco, Caitlyn Fresco and Sean Fresco; three sisters & two brothers in law, Patty & Keith Roach of Ilion, Maureen & Jeff Ball of New Hartford and Cynthia Waufle of Little Falls; seven brothers and sisters in law, Floyd & Tina Pett of Westmoreland, who were my closest friends, Edwin Pett of Utica, John Pett of NE, Richard & Ladonna Pett of Holland, MI, Steve & Jane Pett of Chesapeake, VA, Timothy & Kathleen Pett of Wichita, KS and Robert & Teryle Pett of Ft. Myers, FL; my in laws and close friends, Joseph & Kathy Fresco of Ilion; close friends, Margo Green of Frankfort, Robert & Carol Helmer of FL. and Donna Kjar of Penn Yan; and several in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. I was predeceased by my daughter, Linda Fresco in January of 1971, three brothers & one sister in law, Ernest Pett, David Pett, and Thomas & Pomroy Pett, and my step father, Howard Tehan.
My funeral will be held Monday morning at 9:15 from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:00 in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas, pastor. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. I would like to express her sincere appreciation to Hospice & Palliative Care, Dr Parker, Dr. Faber, Dr. Desai and Windy, for the wonderful care and compassion shown to her during her illness and passing. I also became very close to Patty Roach who was more than a nurse to me, but a sister.
