Sherrill - Mrs. Lillian Van Dyke, 92, of W. Hinds Ave. passed away Thursday, September 4, 2014 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Syracuse on April 7, 1922, the daughter of the late Julius Christian and Mary Ann Kaufmann Iniech. She attended Syracuse schools and graduated from North Syracuse High School. She was married to Leon William Van Dyke on April 25, 1942 in Syracuse. The two shared a blessed union until Leon's passing on December 12, 1971. Lillian was employed by General Electric, Syracuse, and later was a Clerk for Ames in Oneida for many years. She was a member of Whitelaw Presbyterian Church in Canastota. Lillian is survived by four daughters and two sons in law, Carol Wands of Seneca Falls, Doreen and Robert Dewey of Canton, Phyllis Curto of Canastota and Patricia and Steve Christensen of Frankfort; four sons and two daughters in law, William L. and Patrice Van Dyke of East Syracuse, Leon Van Dyke of Cliffwood Beach, NJ, David and Debbie Van Dyke of Parish and Thomas Van Dyke of Jackson, MS; 25 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Dennis Van Dyke and her brother, William Iniech. Her funeral will be held Monday at 12:00 PM in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave. Frankfort with Brother Ed Bick, officiating. Interment will follow in Whitelaw Cemetery, Canastota. Calling hours will be Monday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
