Leon Richard Iocovozzi

Tamarac, FL - Leon Richard Iocovozzi, 67, of Tamarac, FL, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 20, 2025.

He was born in Savannah, Georgia, on March 11, 1958, the son of the late Anthony Nicholas and Margaret Jane Grady Iocovozzi and he attended Savanah schools graduating from Savanah High School. Ricky served with the US Marine Corps as a Lance Corporal and was stationed at Camp Lejeune.  He received his sharpshooter in both in use of the rifle and hand gun. He was a union electrician and sold health insurance for many years. Friends and family enjoyed Ricky’s sense of humor. He was loved by his family for his corniness.

Ricky is survived by his son, Joseph Iocovozzi, his daughter, Jennifer Benitez; his cherished grandchildren, Abigail, Liliana, Liam, Leon and Athena; his siblings, Mark, Gina, Amy, and Meg, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael.

His Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 4:30 PM in St. Anthony of Padua and St. Agnes Parish, Tilden Ave at St. Anthony St., Utica. His funeral arrangements are under the direction of the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Avenue, Frankfort.
