Herkimer - Kristine "Tinka" Glogowski, 77, of Eureka Ave. passed away Friday, November 6, 2009 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Herkimer on February 3, 1932, the daughter of the late John and Kristine Kucerak Pazicky and she attended Herkimer schools. She was married to Edward Glogowski on February 11, 1950 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Herkimer. Mr. Glogowski passed away on January 20, 2001. Kristine worked as Seamstress for P & K Dress Factory in Little Falls until her retirement in 1998. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Kristine and her family always enjoyed their summers at Piseco Lake at the family camp.
Kristine is survived by one brother, Allan Pulaski and his wife Linda of New Hartford; one nephew, Jordan and his wife Elizabeth Pulaski of Cheektowaga; her nieces, Deanna Pulaski of Utica, Jennifer and her husband Tom Nellis of Oneida, Patty Andrews of Utica and Holly and her husband Jim Andrews of Mississippi; her niece and Godchild, Karen and her husband Alan Bruns of Florida; a special great nephew, Austin Arimont; and her special friend, Tootsie Engert for 70 Years. She was predeceased by her infant son, Edward Allan Glogowski in 1955, her sister, Kate Warkowski, and her step father, Alex Pulaski.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 2:00 PM in Trinity Lutheran Church at the corner of German St. and Henry St., Herkimer, with Reverend Ann Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held Sunday from 5-7 PM at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer.
Kristine's family would like to extend a special thank you to Moe and Beatrice Baretto, the nurses on the sixth floor at St. Luke's Hospital, Patricia Andrews for her loving care in Kristine's final days and to Trinity Lutheran Church in Herkimer.
