Frankfort - Mrs. Kathryn H. Rauscher Armstrong, 93, of 402 S. Litchfield St passed away peacefully Saturday, January 3, 2009 in her home. She was born in Clayton, NY on February 2, 1915, the daughter of the late Paul and Irene Mc Cormack Hesler. She attended and graduated from St. Mary's Academy, Clayton and later attended Buffalo Culinary Institute. Kathryn was at one time married to Everett Rauscher. She was later united in marriage to Albert Armstrong in South Bend, IN. Mr. Armstrong passed away in 1986. Kathryn & Albert were well known painters & wall paperers through out the Rome area for many years. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. Kathryn is survived by one son & daughter in law, Paul & Stephanie Rauscher of Frankfort; one daughter, Suzanne Hill & her companion, Howard Veihdeffer of Midland, PA; three sisters & one brother in law, Patricia & Leland Wall of Ft Myers, FL, Carol Hawkins of Cocoa Beach, FL and Frances Mathis of Oriskany; one brother and sister in law, Robert & Marjorie Hesler of Verona; her grandchildren, Nick Rauscher & his companion, Jolene Stocking, Sean & his wife, Heather Genung, Mandy Genung and Jessie Hill; one great grandson, Scott; her beloved canine and constant companion, Roxy and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Paul Hesler and Harold Hesler, one sister, Jean Ritchie and two sons in law, Merton Genung and Philip Hill. Her funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 am in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, S. Frankfort St., Frankfort where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Barratt assisted by Deacon James Bower. Spring interment will be in Mt Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kathryn's memory may be made to Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, S. Frankfort St., Frankfort, NY 13340 or the Friends of the Frankfort Library, S. Frankfort St, Frankfort, NY 13340. Envelopes will be available at the church vestibule on Wednesday morning. Kathryn's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Mannava & Marlene for the wonderful care and compassion shown to her during her final years. They would also like to thank, Linda of Superior Home Care for her friendship and kindness. Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V. J.
