Katherine Bianchi

Frankfort - Mrs. Katherine "Katie" Bianchi, 86, of S. Litchfield St. passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in the Masonic Care Community with her loving family by her side. She was born in Frankfort on June 24, 1927, the daughter of the late Samuel and Betty Rappa Palumbo and she attended Frankfort schools. She was married to Frank J. Bianchi on November 15, 1947 in St. Mary's Church. Frank passed away on December 16, 1972. Katie was at one time employed by the Cloverleaf Motel and Restaurant, St. Mary's Church where she worked as the Rectory Housekeeper and later was a Clerk at McDonald's in Herkimer where she was affectionately known as "The McDonald's Lady." She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. Katherine is survived by four sons and two daughters in law, George Bianchi, Edward Bianchi, Samuel and Kathie Bianchi and Frank "Bongo" and Lorri Bianchi, all of Frankfort; one daughter and son in law, Kathleen and Dan Anthony of Frankfort; his brother and sister in law, Carl and Madge Palumbo of MS; one sister and brother in law, Frances and James Willsey of Springfield Center; her in-laws, Joseph and Mary Bianchi, Peg Bianchi and Elvira Bianchi; 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Brianne Bianchi. Her funeral will be held Monday morning at 9:00 AM from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 9:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday afternoon from 12-3 PM in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
