Josephine V LaForte

Frankfort - New Smyrna Beach, FL- Josephine V LaForte, 92, passed away on June 21, 2026, in Advent Health, New Smyrna Beach with her family by her side.

Josephine was born on January 5, 1934 in Ilion, NY, to the late Anthony and Mary Montalto Caruso. She attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort Schuyler High School with the class of 1954. She employed as an Executive Assistant at Chicago Pneumatic, for many years until her retirement in 1997. When she resided in Frankfort she was an active communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles. Her greatest love was her daughter and grandchildren.

Josephine is survived by her beloved daughter, Joanne Kehrli; her grandchildren, Anne Kehrli Esq., Maria Kehrli, Joseph Kehrli, Esq. and Michael Kehrli and several cousins with her special affection for Nancy DeLisle.

Her funeral will be held, Tuesday morning, June 30, 2026 at 9:00 AM where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Paul Catena, Pastor. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort, NY. There will be no public calling hours.

Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Frankfort.
