Mrs. Josephine DiGristina

Frankfort - Mrs. Josephine DiGristina, 88, of Frankfort passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022 in Foltsbrook with her family by her side.

She was born in Ilion, New York on January 19, 1934, the daughter of the late Joseph and  Josephine LaParne Juliano She attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort Schuyler High School with the class of 1951. She was married to Rosario “Chuck” DiGristina on October 23, 1954 in St. Mary's Church. Chuck passed away on June 9, 2010. Josephine was employed by Union Tools, Frankfort for many years until her retirement in 1999. She was a devout Communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. Josie loved going to the casino, baking, cooking, sewing and crocheting for family and friends.

Josephine is survived by two daughters and one son in law, Elaine and her husband, Darrel Moore of Herkimer and Josephine Bates of Frankfort; two brothers and sisters in law, Ben and his wife Robin Juliano and James and his wife, Geraldine Juliano all of Schuyler; her grandchildren, Ron and his wife, Sara Moore, Dana and her husband, Michael McGraw, Gina and her husband, Zack Cogswell and Melissa and her husband, Rocco Fernalld; five cherished great grandchildren, Josephine McGraw, Riley McGraw, Evan McGraw, Rocco Fernalld and Grayson Fernalld; her sisters in law, Florence Cardarelli, Mary DiChristina, Rosie Juliano and Neva Volo; her brother in law, Joseph DiGristina and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her son, Joseph "Deke" DiGristina on December 14, 1980; son in law, Raymond Bates; her twin sister and brother in law, Betty and Charles Wilkinson; five brothers, Anthony Juliano, Joseph Juliano, Salvatore Juliano, Frank and his wife, Ann Juliano and Joseph and his wife, Marie Spatola; mother in law and father in law, Josephine "Elaine" and Joseph DiGristina; her in laws, Rosie and Charles "Hafe" Bellino, Salvatore DiChristina, Marie DiGristina, Joann and Frank DiSpirito, Carmen Cardarelli and Nebo Volo; nephew, Michael Wilkinson and her niece, Mary Bellino Van Dusen.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 9:45 AM from the V. J.  Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, November 28 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the V. J.  Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave., Frankfort.
