Joseph R. Plano

Mr. Joseph R. Plano Mohawk - Mr. Joseph R. Plano, 84, of 25 Henry St passed away Saturday, November 18, 2006 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. He was born in Frankfort on December 1, 1921, the son of the late Frank and Susan Capra Plano and he attended Frankfort schools. Joe was a licensed barber for many years. He was united in marriage to Mary Campagna on June 3, 1944 in Christian Apostolic Church, Albany. Mr. Plano was a Machinist for Univac, Ilion Plant 2 for many years. Joe also served as a bus driver for the Mohawk school system for many years. He was a member of Oak Ridge Free Methodist Church. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary Plano; two sons & daughters in law, Gary & Joan Plano of Mohawk and Dennis & Linda Plano of Victor, NY; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Lake, Shawn Smith, Jeffrey & his wife, Angie Smith, Gary & his wife, Alyssa Plano Jr., Joseph John & his wife, Amanda Plano; and Susan Christine Plano; six great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers, Frank Plano, Carl Plano and Vincent Plano. His funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 am in the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort the Rev. Tommy Dennis, pastor of Oak Ridge Free Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Mohawk Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Monday afternoon from 4-6 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
