Mr. Joseph Anthony Crisino, Sr. Mohawk - Mr. Joseph Anthony Crisino, Sr., 77, of W. Main St. passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 in Valley Health Services with his family by his side. He was born in Herkimer on July 9, 1938, the son of the late Paul and Catherine Cugliandro Crisino and he graduated from Herkimer High School with the class of 1956. He served with the US Army from 1964 until his Honorable Discharge on February 2, 1970 with the rank of Sergeant. He was married to Carol Fike on March 15, 1968 in Herkimer. Joseph was at one time employed with the Utica OD as a typesetter and was the owner and operator of J & C Printing, Ilion. He later was employed in the maintenance department for Herkimer County Community College for many years. He was a member of American Legion Post #25 in Mohawk, served as a fireman with the Mohawk Fire Department for 25 years, a member of the Mohawk Exempt Fireman's Association and was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Mohawk. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Crisino; three daughters, Barbara Jo Nelson of CA, Chris and Robert Lalonde of Mohawk and Laura and Patrick Smith of Binghamton; one son, Joseph and Melanie Crisino, Jr. of Mohawk; one sister, Mary Fowler, of Ilion; .six grandchildren, Joe Nelson, Beth Lalonde, Carol Lalonde, Jenna Smith, Marissa Crisino and Anthony Crisino; one great-granddaughter, Gabrielle and his aunt, Terri Cugliandro and several nieces, nephews and cousins. His funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10:15 AM from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer and at 11:00 AM in Grace Episcopal Church where a funeral service will be celebrated by the Rev. Sally Heiligman. Interment will be in Mohawk Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 31 from 4-8 PM in the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home. Members of the Mohawk American Legion Post #25 will meet Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM for services.
