Mr. Joseph N. "Sheppy" Caruso
Frankfort - Mr. Joseph N. "Sheppy" Caruso, 77, of 123 N. Litchfield St passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2005 in St. Luke´s Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Frankfort on September 23, 1927, the son of the late Philip and Mary Frances Daly Carusoand he attended Frankfort Schools. Sheppy served during World War II with the US Army and was Honorably Discharged on February 6, 1947. He was at one time employed by Univac, Library Bureau and later as the Sextant of Oak View Cemetery, Frankfort. Mr. Caruso was later employed by the Department of Public Works for the Village Of Frankfort for many years until his retirement in 1994. He was a Communicant of Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church.
Joseph is survived by four sisters & three brothers in law, Mary & Frank Kipper, Phyllis Young, Rosemary & Chuck Coppola and Elizabeth & Philip Tangorra all of Frankfort; one brother & sister in law, Phyllis & James Caruso of Frankfort and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by six brothers, Michael Caruso, George Caruso, Ross Caruso, John Caruso, Anthony Caruso and Patrick Caruso and two sisters, Theresa Logoteta and Carrie Scalise.
His funeral will be held Friday morning at 9:00 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 9:30 am in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Thursday from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
Sheppy´s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. D. Kachare, the nurses and staff of St. Luke´s Memorial Hospital and the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home for the wonderful care and compassion shown to him during his illness and passing.
