John H. Saltourides

Mr. John H. Saltourides Fairfield - John H. Saltourides, 76, of 1520 Hardscrabble Road passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side. Mr. John H. Saltourides was born on November 12, 1938 to the late Haralampos and Evridiki Kydes Saltourides in Komnina, Greece. John received his education in Greece and immigrated to the United States in 1956. John was united in marriage with Ann Panapakidou on November 1, 1959 in Norwalk, CT. He was employed as a Chef at a restaurant in Wilton, CT. In 1979 John and his family relocated to the Fairfield area to pursue his dream of owning his own farm. In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trapping. John also loved to spend time with his family. He was a member of S.S. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, where he served as a faithful member who truly loved The Lord. John leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Ann Saltourides; three daughters and two son-in-laws, Stacey and Peter Rodriguez, Mary Saltourides, and Dora and Fred Miller; his eight grandchildren, Harry, John, Robert, Maria, Charles, Christina, Matthew and Victoria; his three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Ellie and Nyna; and other loving relatives and friends. His funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 9:30 AM from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer and at 10:00 AM in S.S. Peter And Paul Orthodox Church with the V. Rev. John Udics, officiating. Spring interment will be in S.S. Peter and Paul Orthodox Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 6th from 4-8 PM at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home. Parastas will be held Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home with Fr.
