John Edward Leitz

Mr. John Edward Leitz Frankfort Hill- Mr. John Edward Leitz, 58, of 162 Mc Intyre Rd passed away Thursday, May 19, 2005 in his home. He was born in Ilion on July 27, 1946, the son of John E. and Alice Edwards Leitz Jr. John attended Sauquoit Valley Schools and graduated from Sauquoit Valley High School with the Class of 1963. He was married to Barbara Gallehr on November 26, 1966 in Milford United Methodist Church. Mr. Leitz was a self employed dairy farmer on Frankfort Hill for many years until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church, N. Utica. John is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Barbara Leitz; his mother, Alice Leitz, Frankfort; one daughter, Brenda Dennis of Oneida; two sons & daughters in law, John J. & Sundy Leitz and Corey & Sherri Leitz all of Frankfort; his grandchildren, John J. Leitz Jr, Travis Leitz, Andrew Dennis, Samantha Leitz, Cody Leitz, Breanna Dennis, Lauren Leitz, Dustin Leitz and Casey Leitz; his sister & brother in law, Linda & Alex Fasolilli of Herkimer; special sister in law & brother in law, Joan & George Winslow of MD; his extended family, Crystal Rockhill of Frankfort; two nieces, Erin Fasolilli of Herkimer and Aisha & Her Husband, Steven Gillett of CA and several cousins. He was predeceased by his father, John E. Leitz Jr. on April 3, 1997 and one brother, Thomas Leitz on June 19, 1985 A celebration of John's life will be held Saturday evening June 4, 2005 at 6:00 pm in Seventh Day Adventist Church, Herkimer Rd., N. Utica with Rev. Rob Mc Kay, Pastor Officiating. In keeping with John's wishes his body has been donated to Albany Medical Center for the advancement of medical research. His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V. J.
