John J. Haberek

Salisbury Center - Mr. John J. Haberek, 66, of Heller Rd passed away Sunday, November 22, 2009 in Little Falls Hospital. He was born in Little Falls on February 28, 1943, the son of Charles and Catherine Sobolowski Haberek. He attended Dolgeville schools and graduated from Dolgeville High School and later attended and graduated from Cornell University and received his Bachelors Degree in Business from Utica College. Mr. Haberek was a self employed farmer and worked along side his family at Haberek Brothers Dairy Farm, Salisbury Center. He was a communicant of Holy Family Parish & a member the FSA. He will always be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. John is survived by his beloved mother, Catherine Haberek; two sisters, Joan Haberek of Salisbury Center and Patricia Ryan of Westmoreland; three brothers & sisters in law, Charles & Carol Haberek of Ilion, Robert & Patricia Haberek of Dolgeville and Matthew & Laurie Haberek of Little Falls and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Charles Haberek. His funeral will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 AM in Holy Family Church, E Main St. Little Falls where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor. Interment will be in St Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 4-6 at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer.
