Joan Warkowski

Mrs. Joan E. Warkowski Ilion - Mrs. Joan Warkowski, 61, of London Towers Apt. 409 passed away Saturday, October 23, 2004 peacefully in her home. She was born in Youngstown, OH on December 26, 1942, the daughter of Edward and Mildred Hart and attended schools there. She was at one time married to Paul Nelson. Joan was later married to Raymond Warkowski Jr on July 30, 1989 in Zion Lutheran Church, Utica. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lutheran Church League & Women of the Lutheran Church. Joan is survived by her husband, Raymond Warkowski Jr; one daughter & son in law, Cheryl & Dan Edick of Homosassa, FL; one son, Edward Nelson of Rome; one brother, Ronald Hart of OH; father in law & mother in law, Raymond & Betty Warkowski Sr of Mohawk; sister in law, Constance Engert of E. Herkimer; her grandchildren, William Frezza, Brandon Carter, Jessica Edick, Matthew Edick; her step grandchildren, Christopher Edick and Joshua Edick; her God children, April Merrill, Crystal Dennis and Shea Fonda and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her funeral will be held Saturday morning at 10:15 AM from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer and at 11:00 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Alice Moberg-Sarver, officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Calling Hours will be Friday from 5-8 at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home.
