Mrs. Jennie M. La Valla Frankfort - Mrs. Jennie M. La Valla, 83, of Litchfield Manor passed away Friday, June 1, 2007 peacefully in her home with her family by her side She was born in Frankfort on June 19, 1923, the daughter of the late Anthony and Rosalia Marconi Sgroi and she attended Frankfort schools. She was married to Earl J.La Valla on September 4, 1943 in St. Mary's Church. Mr. La Valla passed away on November 24, 1978. Jennie was at one time employed as a seamstress for Joseph & Feiss, Utica for many years. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the Young at Heart Senior Citizens. Jennie is survived by one daughter & son in law, Mary & John Pedone of Frankfort; four sons & daughters in law, Anthony & Carol Ann La Valla, Robert & Mary Ann La Valla, Joseph & Linda La Valla all of Frankfort and Richard & Cindy La Valla of Trenton, GA; one sister, Mary Tesoriere of Frankfort; her in laws, Vernon Wafful of Frankfort, Rachel & Joseph Caiola and Mary Lou La Valla all of Little Falls; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Carl Sgroi, two sisters, Nancy Theresa Diliberto and Josephine Wafful and one great grandson, Scott Campione. Her funeral will be held Monday morning at 9:30 from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:00 in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas, Pastor. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Sunday from 5-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Members of the Young at Heart Senior Citizens will meet Sunday at 5:30 at the funeral home. Jennie's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Mary Pearson for her wonderful care and compassion shown to her during her illness and passing.
