Jennie Giangregorio

Mrs. Jennie Giangregorio Mohawk- Mrs Joanne (Jennie) Giangregorio, 76, of 21 Marmet St passed away Monday, July 17, 2006 in her home following a brief illness. She was born in Herkimer on May 15, 1930, the daughter of the late Frank and Theresa Ricci Eramo. She was educated in Herkimer schools and was a graduate of the Utica School of Beauty Culture. She was united in marriage to Vincent Giangregorio on June 19, 1948 in St. Anthony´s Church, Herkimer. For many years, Jennie owned and operated the Ballerina Beauty Boutique, Mohawk. She was an active parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church where she was a member of the church choir and the Rosary Society. Jennie is survived by her husband, Vincent Giangregorio; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Mary Lou) Greene, Mohawk and Mrs. Anthony (Theresa) Casale, Cooperstown; four grandchildren, Vincent & Amy Casale, Mohawk, Peter & Janine Casale, New Jersey, A J Casale, Washington, DC and Johanna Greene, Mohawk; two great grandchildren, P J Casale and Vincenza Casale; one sister, Mrs Philomena Moretti, Herkimer; two brothers, Anthony & Frances Eramo, Arizona and Joseph & Martha Eramo, Florida; three sisters in law, Mrs. Rose Evolo, Rome, Mrs Lucy Conte, Little Falls and Mrs Jemma Cancelino, Herkimer and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, Albert Eramo, Vincent Eramo and John Eramo. Her funeral will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 am in Blessed Sacrament Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. Mark Cunningham, Sacramental Minister assisted by Sister Mary Jo Tallman, Parish Life Director. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Wednesday from 5-9 at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer. Contributions in Jennie's memory may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church.
