Janette F. Nedzynski

FrankfortJanette F. Nedzynski, 73, of Frankfort, passed away Friday, August 3, 2007 in Bassett Health Care Center, Cooperstown. She was born on January 26, 1934, in Ilion, the daughter of the late Felix and Mary Drabent Nedzynski. Janette was a graduate of Frankfort-Schuyler High School, Lemoyne College and received her Master's from College of St. Rose, Albany. Ms. Nedzynski was a teacher with the Berne-Knox School District, Berne, NY until her retirement. In prior years she also taught in the Utica Public School District and Holy Family Catholic School District, Fairmont, NY. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, where she served as lecture and Eucharistic minister. Janette was also a member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites, Herkimer County Historical Society and the NYS Retired Teachers Association. Janette is survived by her brother and sister-in-law; Thomas & Florence Nedzynski of New Jersey; her sisters and brothers-in-law; Marie & James Powell of Utica, Bernice & Daniel Merriam of Rochester, and Rita Nedzynski of Utica; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Her funeral will be held at 9:30 am, Wednesday, from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:00 am in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be 5-8 PM, Tuesday at V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
