Mr. James Fernandez

Utica – Mr. James Fernandez, 62, of Utica passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 in University Hospital.

He was born in New York City on May 24, 1956, the son of Victor and Zoraida Pimentel Fernandez and he attended schools there. James was employed as a cook in several restaurants in NYC and later as a Driver for William Barry Designs, NYC.

James is survived by his son, Eduardo Fernandez of Utica; his daughter, Maria Fernandez of Utica; his father and mother, Victor and Zoraida Pimentel Fernandez of Utica; three brothers, Frank Fernandez of  the Bronx, Michael Fernandez of Utica and Gabriel and Maria Fernandez of Queens; two sisters , Haydee Fernandez and her companion, Joseph DiPierro and Myra Fernandez and her fiancée, Manuel Rivera all of Utica; his grandson, Hishyar Alabbdo, one uncle, Salvador Pimentel of Manhattan;, aunt, Isabelle Pimentel of Utica; his nephews and nieces, Manny Cotrich,  Cynthia Cotrich, Melvin Cotrich, Angel Fernandez, Jennifer Fernandez, Christopher Elias, Mariyah Cotrich, Christian Fernandez and Crystal Fernandez and several cousins.

His funeral will be held at the convenience of the family from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Avenue Frankfort with the Rev. Joseph Salerno, officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Avenue, Frankfort.
