Mr. James Caiola

Frankfort - James R. Caiola, 74, of Frankfort, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at home with his family by his side.

He was born in DeRidder, Louisiana on May, 30, 1943, the son of the late Sam and Lillian Miller Caiola. He attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort-Schuyler High School with the class of 1961. He was at one time married to Nancy Zawislan. James was employed as an Equipment Operator for the Town of Frankfort for many years. He was also at one time employed with the Herkimer County Highway Department and was also owner and operator of Jim's Repair. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. James was an avid Yankees and Giants fan. He loved working with tractors and sitting at the house under the trees with his family.

James is survived by three sons and daughters in law, Edward and Celeste Caiola of Hillsboro, NC, Michael and Kaitlin Caiola and Robert and Rachael Caiola, all of Raleigh, NC; one brother, Thomas Caiola of Frankfort; his grandchildren, Makayla Caiola, Nolan Caiola and Samuel Caiola; his aunts and uncles, Florence Caiola, Charles and Angie Caiola, Joan Murphy, Cecilia Morton and Tina Caiola; his lifelong friends, Don Sciortino, Salvatore "Beef" Paratore, Joe Ferdula and James Seaman and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

His funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9:45 AM at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, 412 S. Frankfort St. Frankfort, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be Friday evening from 4 - 6 PM at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
