Mr. Italo Di Camillo Frankfort - - Mr. Italo Di Camillo, 90, of 344 Fifth Ave passed away Thursday, November 24, 2005 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born in Herkimer on August 26, 1915, the son of the late James and Jenny Di Camillo and he attended Herkimer schools and graduated from Herkimer High School with the class of 1933. He later attended MVCC and received his certification as an Electrician. He was married to his best friend and life partner, Mary Rolchigo on November 25, 1939 in St. Mary´s Church, a blessed union that produced two children. Mr. Di Camillo was employed as the Maintanence Foreman for Union Fork And Hoe Co., Frankfort for many years until his retirement in 1977. He was a Communicant of Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church and a member of the Diamond Service Club of Union Fork & Hoe, Pine Hills Golf League, a faithful member of the bowling leagues in both Frankfort and Ilion and he was an avid fisherman and hunter. All those that knew Italo, can attest that he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He had lived each day of his life devoted to his families' needs and concerns. He leaves behind a legacy of love and caring to his family. Italo is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary Di Camillo; one daughter, Joann Di Camillo of Utica, his daughter in law, Elizabeth Di Camillo of Whitesboro; one grandson, James Di Camillo of Utica; one granddaughter, Deanna & her husband, Casey Flynn of Rochester; his great grandchildren, Jordan Flynn and Taylor Flynn; his in laws, James Rolchigo of Schuyler, Carl Rolchigo and Florence Gentile all of Utica and several beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one son, James Di Camillo on October 17, 1985 and one sister, Dolores Bommarito. His funeral will be held Monday, November 28, 2005 at 11:30 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 12:00 pm in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Sunday from 4-7 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Italo's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Nurses and staff of St. Elizabeth's Medical Center's Special Care Unit 4th floor for the wonderful care and compassion shown to him during his illness and passing. Contributions in Italo's memory maybe made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
