Iris J. Archer

Mrs. Iris J. Archer Ilion - Frankfort - Mrs. Iris J. Archer, 88, of Prindle Apts. formerly of East Ave Frankfort passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012 in Folts Home. She was born in Ilion on August 30, 1924, the daughter of the late Paul J. and Marjory Hoffman. She attended Ilion schools and graduated from Ilion High School. She was married to Russell J. Archer on April 4, 1945 in US Navy Chapel, Macon, GA. Russell passed away on April 3, 2008. Iris was a Restaurant Manager for Schuyler Thruway Rest Area, Schuyler until her retirement in 1986. Iris is survived by two daughters and one son in law, Cynthia and John Bonfardici of Frankfort and Bonnie Shipman and her companion, Robert Small of Brea, CA; two sons and daughters in law, David and Sue Archer of Ilion and Robert and Kim Archer of Frankfort; her grandchildren, David, Kelly Archer, Daniel and his wife, Rhonda Archer, Paul Archer, Kimberly and her husband, Tyler Derby, Rebecca Archer, Amy Archer, Robin and her husband, Rashid Singano, John and his wife, April Bonfardici Jr, Jaime and her husband, Michael Coulhurst, Andrew Archer and his companion, Ida, Michele Johnson and Eric Shipman and his companion, Stephanie; her sister in law, Janet Hoffman of GA.; special nephew, Lloyd "Rick" and his wife, Donna Bagg; thirty great grand children, one great great granddaughter and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Paul Hoffman and two sisters, Joan Wilcox and Nancy Bagg. Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 12:00 noon in the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort with Rev. Robert Wollaber pastor of Frankfort United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Oak View Cemetery.
