Henry C. Loiacono

West Winfield - Mr. Henry C. Loiacono, 92, of 531 Meeting House Rd. passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born in Schuyler on October 1, 1920, the son of the late Joseph and Josephine Cleseri Loiacono and he attended schools in Winfield, graduating from West Winfield High School with the class of 1938. He was married to Sophie Farley on April 14, 1945 in Sts. Peter and Paul's Church, Frankfort, a blessed union of 68 years. Henry was owner and operator of the Loiacono Family Farm in West Winfield for many years. Henry is survived by his beloved wife, Sophie Loiacono; five sons and daughters in law, Joseph and Ellen Loiacono of Herkimer, Gary and Cathy Loiacono of Herkimer, Ronald and Marlene Loiacono of West Winfield, Steven and Madaline Loiacono of Fresno, CA and Paul and Regina Loiacono of Burlington Flats; his sixteen beloved grandchildren and their spouses, Mary Elise and Mike Dedicke, Michael and Elizabeth Loiacono, Katherine Maxwell, Thomas and Lauren Loiacono, Patrick Loiacono, Gregory and Meeka Loiacono, Geoffrey and Kia Loiacono, Matthew Loiacono, Mark and Mackenzie Loiacono, Nicholas and Mary Loiacono, Benjamin Loiacono, Kimberly Loiacono, Danielle and Joel Carney, Aaron and Kimberly Loiacono, Maggie Loiacono and Paul David Loiacono; his fourteen great-grandchildren, Alison Dedicke, Eric Dedicke, Maia Loiacono, Joshua Loiacono, Elijah Loiacono, Owen Loiacono, Emma Loiacono, Savannah Loiacono, Adrianna Loiacono, Juliana Parks, Greyson Loiacono, Regina Jane Carney, Mason Carney and Arron David Loiacono and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by three sisters, Josephine Cushman, Agnes Barretta and Mary Barretta and four brothers, Dominick Loiacono, Peter Loiacono, Frank Loiacono and George Loiacono. Calling hours will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort. A prayer service will be held Wednesday evening at 5:00 at the funeral home by Deacon James Bower. Interment will be in Cedarville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Henry's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1508 Genesee St, Utica, NY 13502. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
