Ms. Helen Fitch
Herkimer- Ms. Helen M. Fitch, 83, of 247 E. Steele St passed away unexpectedly Good Friday, April 14, 2006 in her home.
She was born in Herkimer on February 14, 1923, the daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Kemp Grabinski and she attended Herkimer Schools. She was at one time married to Linus Fitch. Helen was at one time employed by Derby Sportswear during WWII sewing tents for the US Army and later as a Chamber Maid for Herkimer Motel, Herkimer for over 25 years of dedicated until retirement her in 1990. She was a Communicant of Sts. Anthony And Joseph Church.
Helen was wonderful and giving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and is survived by one daughter, Lou Ann Cosilmon of Herkimer; three sons & daughters in law, Lynn & Sandy Fitch of Tucson, AZ, Michael & Linda Fitch of Tonapaha, NV and Robert & Debbie Fitch of Herkimer; one sister, Frances Osley of Herkimer, her cherished grandchildren, Ronald & his wife, Melissa Fitch, Joseph & his wife, Debbie Fitch, Christina & her husband, David Boland, Lisa Fitch, Brian Cosilmon, Melissa Cosilmon and Stephanie Fitch; nine great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Rudolf Grabinski.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 9:00 am from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer and at 9:30 am in Sts. Anthony And Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev Thomas Vail. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Monday from 4-6 at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home.
