Mrs. Harriet Mae Spine Frankfort - Mrs. Harriet Mae Spine, 80, of 106 Lock St passed away Thursday, October 14, 2004 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. She was born in Ilion on December 6, 1923, the daughter of the late Harry D. and Vivian Hodom Wright and attended Frankfort schools. She was married to Joseph Poop Spine Sr.on November 20, 1941in St. Mary´s Church. Mr. Spine passed away on November 19, 1983. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church. Harriet was a loving and caring wife, mother, homemaker, grandmother and great grandmother. She was strong willed, extremely independent, loved to read, loved to discuss historical and current events. She preached , practiced and instilled in her family, honesty, the value of an education, hard work and the value of true friendship. Harriet is survived by her two sons, Joseph Spine and Nicholas Spine & His Fiancee, Barbara Johnson, all of Frankfort; her daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and James Sgroi of Frankfort; one sister, Grace Cecilia Sweet of Ballston Spa; her grandchildren, Lisa Balzano of Utica, Michele Balzano of Liverpool, Nicholas & His Wife, Alexandria Brown of Liverpool, Joseph & His Wife, Karen Spine of Hinckley, Renee & Her Husband, Philip De Simone of Apex, NC, Michael & His Wife, Marea Spine of Holly Spring, NC and Dominica Spine of Frankfort; her great grandchildren, Michael Spine, Nicholas Spine, Philip De Simone, Joseph De Simone, Vincent De Simone, Nicole Renee Spine and Cecilia Brown; her in laws, Hilda Spine of Frankfort, Hilda Wright of Ilion, Matthew Niznik of Utica, Sandor Kozma of Herkimer, John Cardone of Utica, Marsha Wright of Newport, Rita Wright of Utica and Jeannie Wright of Ilion and several neices, nephews and cousins . She was predeceased by one son, Michael Spine On July 30, 1968, one daughter in law, Alvira Spine On November 21, 1985, four brothers, Harry Wright II, Jon Wright, Robert Wright and Kenneth Wright and three sisters, Marion Niznik, Faith Kozma and Frances Jean Cardone. Her funeral will be held Monday, October 18, 2004 at 12:15 PM from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 1:00 PM in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas, Pastor. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Sunday from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. By family request please omit floral offerings.
