Miss Grace B. La Puma
Frankfort - Miss Grace B. La Puma, 84, formerly of S. Frankfort St passed away peacefully Saturday, April 1, 2006 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center.
She was born in Frankfort on September 2, 1921, the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Grieco
La Puma and she attended Frankfort Schools and graduated from the Utica School of Beauty. Grace was a hair dresser who specialized in at home care especially for those that were home bound, she practiced her profession throughout the village for many years. She was a Communicant of Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church and a member of the Columbianna Society and a Life Member of Young At Heart Senior Citizens. Grace had an abundance of friends and enjoyed playing cards and especially loved to play bingo. She lived each and every day of her life to the fullest.
Grace is survived by her beloved family, one brother & sister in law, Frank & Marie J. La Puma of Frankfort; two sisters & brothers in law, Martha & Gene Cobb of Schuyler and Ann & Peter Mc Kevitt of Frankfort; her brother in law, Don Varin of Ilion and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters, Connie La Puma in 1973 and Frances Varin in 1995.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 pm from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 1:30 pm in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Alfred Lamanna, Pastor Emeritus. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Monday from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Members of the Young At Heart Senior Citizens will meet Monday afternoon at 4:00 at the funeral home for services.
