Gloria G. Skowron

Mrs. Gloria G. Skowron Frankfort - Mrs. Gloria G. Skowron, 80, of 111 Palmer St passed away peacefully Thursday, August 4, 2005 in her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Herkimer on September 23, 1924, the daughter of the late Rudolf and Mary Grabinski Kemp and she attended Herkimer schools. She was married to Walter F. Skowron on February 2, 1946 in St. Joseph´s Church, Herkimer. Mr. Skowron passed away on January 26, 1990. Mr. & Mrs. Skowron were the co owner operator of Skowron´s Market, Frankfort until retirement in 1989. She was a Communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. Gloria was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was her life and dedication.. Gloria is survived by two daughters & son in law, Patty & Philip Caruso of Herkimer and Gloria Jean Skowron & John Ludwig of Frankfort; her grandsons, Philip & his wife, Dee Caruso and Walter & his wife, Jill Caruso; great grandchildren, Taylor Hilsinger, Hannah Caruso and Nicholas Caruso; her in laws, Frances & Angelo Reina, Jane & Steve Jaskowiak and Marion Skowron; her close friend & cousin, Helen Fitch of Herkimer and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 12:30 pm from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 1:00 pm in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Friday morning from 10:00 AM-12:30 PM at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Gloria's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Sharma, the nurses and staff of the Folt's Home, St. Elizabeth's Hospital and Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion shown to her during her illness and passing.
