Geraldine "Geri" Tocco

Frankfort - Mrs. Geraldine "Geri" Tocco, 80, of 503 Kernan Ave., passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Rochester on January 30, 1937, the daughter of the late Charles and Julia Kostera Hughes. She attended Rochester Schools and graduated from Frankfort-Schuyler High School. She was married to Salvatore "Sam" Tocco on August 2, 1958 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Mr. Tocco passed away September 7, 2015. Geri was employed as a Secretary to the Superintendent at Frankfort-Schuyler High School and was later a salesperson for Chromate Industrial, Bohemia, LI, for many years.

Geri is survived by one daughter and two sons in law, Ann Marie and George Treen of Ilion and Frank Della Posta of Frankfort; two sisters and brothers in law, Eleanor Reina Tamburro and her husband, Joseph Tamburro and Gail Maggiolino and her husband, Richard Maggiolino, all of Frankfort; two grandsons, Robert and his wife, Rachel Squire of Cicero and Carl Della Posta of Frankfort; three great-grandchildren, Samuel Squire, Jacob Squire and Madelyn Squire; her in laws, Florence and Richard Malmgren of Tucson, AZ and Joseph and Beatrice Tocco of West Winfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Mary Margaret Della Posta on October 30, 2016 and her brother, Charles Hughes.

Her funeral will be held Monday morning at 9:45 AM from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, S. Frankfort St., Frankfort, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Sunday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
