Frankfort - Mr. George G. Frank, 55, of 134 E. Orchard St. passed away peacefully Good Friday, April 22, 2011 in his home with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle with adrenal cancer.
He was born in Ilion on January 29, 1956, the son of the late Frank D. and Florence Galvano Frank. He attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort-Schuyler High School with the class of 1974. He later attended SUNY Brockport. George was employed as a Custodian for Frankfort-Schuyler Central School District, Frankfort for many years until his retirement in April of 2011. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. George loved the outdoors, especially fishing with release and camping. He was an avid Yankees and Giants fan.
George is survived by two sons, Frank Frank and Ryan Frank, both at home and their mother, Gigi Aiello; one brother, Francis Frank of Ilion; his brother in law, Joseph Tocco; his special niece, Jodi Doolen; his aunt, Josephine Jopa Palmieri, all of Frankfort and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by one sister, Susan Tocco on November 2, 2010 and his nephew, Joseph Tocco on August 29, 2003.
His funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave., Frankfort and at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the V.Rev. Anthony Barratt and assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
