Gary E. Thompson

Frankfort - Mr. Gary E. Thompson, 58, of 1439 St. Rt. 171 passed away Friday, July 6, 2012 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Utica on August 15, 1953, the son of Arthur and Eleanor Twiss Thompson. He attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort Schuyler High School with the class of 1972. Gary was married to Cindy Cool on September 7, 1985 in Frankfort. Gary has been employed with the Masonic Home since he was a young man and was most recently employed in their Maintenance Department. Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Cindy Thompson; his mother, Eleanor Thompson of Odessa, NY, two daughters, Heather Thompson and Brandy Thompson; two sons, Cody Thompson and Chance Thompson all of Frankfort; two sisters and one brother in law, Dawn Thompson and her husband, Bub Wixson of Alpine, NY and Ruth Thompson of Odessa, NY; his mother in law, Irene Cool of Frankfort and several aunts, uncles, brothers in law, sisters in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Arthur Earl Thompson on May 15, 1992. His funeral will be held at the convenience of his family with burial in Sauquoit Valley Cemetery. His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., Frankfort.
