Frankfort - Mr. Frank P. Paratore, 96, of 211 Railroad St. passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 in Valley Health Services with his family by his side.
He was born in Frankfort on April 24, 1916, the son of the late Salvatore and Rose Migliore Paratore and he attended Frankfort schools. He was married to Stella Klys on November 25, 1944 in St. Joseph's Church, Herkimer. Stella passed away on April 10, 1995. Frank was a Warehouseman for Union Tools, Frankfort for many years until his retirement in 1981. He also was a self-employed truck farmer who loved his farm and especially loved his customers that became his friends and would always greet you with a smile. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the Diamond Service Club of the Union, Fork & Hoe, the Young at Heart Senior Citizens and the Bell Choir at Valley Health Services.
Frank is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Salvatore "Beef" and Terry Paratore of Herkimer and Paul and Melbry Paratore of Amissville, VA one daughter and son in law, Rosann and Sam Scialdone of Herkimer; one sister, Rose Guarniere of Frankfort; four grandchildren, Trisha Paratore and her fiancé, Justin Moore, Lori and her husband, Gary Cosner, Katy Paratore and Frank and his wife, Stephanie Paratore; four great grandchildren, Matthew Paratore, Nicholas Paratore, Taylor Foley and Mary Lou Paratore and several loved nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by four sisters, Mary Costanza, Florence Paratore, Marie Paratore and Josephine Migliore and three brothers, Carl Paratore, Joseph Paratore and Vito Paratore.
His funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Leo Potvin and assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, August 7 from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Members of the Young at Heart Senior Citizens will meet Tuesday at 4:15 at the funeral home for services.
Frank's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Nurses and staff of Valley Health Services, his roommate and friend Charlie Crocker and all "his girls" for the wonderful care and kindness shown to him during his stay and passing.
