Frank Manzo

Frankfort - Mr. Frank Manzo, 88, of S. Frankfort St. passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born in San Giuseppe, Jato, Province of Palermo, Sicily on March 13, 1926, the son of the late Adriano Peter and Giuseppa Josephine Migliore Manzo. He attended schools in Sicily and later in Frankfort, graduating from Frankfort Schuyler High School. He later attended and graduated from Utica College with a degree in Physics Engineering. Frank was employed as an Engineer at Griffis Air Force Base in Rome for many years. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church in Frankfort. Frank is survived by one sister, Florence Manzo of Frankfort; one brother and sister in law Louis and Tina Manzo of Frankfort; his nieces and nephews, Peter Manzo, Steve and Margaret Manzo, Joseph Manzo, Louis and Marlo Manzo; his great nieces and nephews, Brianna, Sara, Steven, Rachel, Anthony, Gia and Michael and his special cousins, Joseph and Beatrice LoRe and family. He was predeceased by his brother, Steve Manzo on August 20, 1999. His funeral will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, 412 S. Frankfort St. Frankfort where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena. Spring Entombment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In keeping with Frank's wishes, there will be no public calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave. Frankfort. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Frank's memory may be made to Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, 412 S. Frankfort St. Frankfort, NY 13340.
