Francis M. Sanita

Easton, PA - Herkimer - Francis M. Sanita, 77, of Easton, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. Francis was born in Herkimer, a son of the late Mark and Antoinette Gigliotti Sanita. He was a graduate of Herkimer High School, class of 1955 and Kerpel School of Dental Technology in Manhattan, class of 1958. He served in the US Army stationed in Ft. Richardson, Alaska. He was married to the former Louise Vallese, celebrating 52 years of marriage last September 2nd. Francis was a certified Dental Technician and owner of Sana-Dent Studio in Easton for 20 years and later worked in the technical sales department of Dentsply International in York, PA. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, skier and hunter. He was a professional ski instructor for many years at both Jack Frost and Shawnee Mountains. Francis was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, where he was very active and served as Sacristant. In addition to his wife, Francis is survived by three sons and two daughters in law, Richard J. and Lisa Sanita of Sinking Spring, PA, Mark J. and Ellen Sanita of Wellington, FL and Jason J. and Jennifer Sanita of Bethlehem, PA; one sister, Carol Sanita Ocuto and her husband Jimmy of Mohawk; one brother and sister in law, Dennis and Linda Sanita of Herkimer and his grandchildren, Adam, Jordan, Dylan and Veronica. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Bethlehem, PA. A military service was held at Holy Family Cemetery. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer.
