Frances A. Pumilio
Frances A. Pumilio, 88, of 216 S. Frankfort Street, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2005 in Mohawk Valley Nursing Home.
She was born on June 10, 1917, in Frankfort, the daughter of the late Mario and Girolama Simmonette Lo Medico and attended Frankfort schools. Frances married John C. Pumilio on November 20, 1940 in St. Mary´s Church, Frankfort. Mr. Pumilio passed away on February 8, 1992.
Frances owned and operated with her husband, Pumilio's Food Market, Mohawk, for many years. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church, Frankfort and member of the Young At Heart Senior Citizens, Frankfort.
Frances was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend who meant the world to her family and had a special love for everyone. Everyone recognized her warm and loving nature and will be deeply and greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Carol and Joseph Flannery of Mascoutah, IL; her two sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Arlene Pumilio and Mario and Carla Pumilio, all of Frankfort; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Lo Medico of Rochester; her brother-in-law, Charles Sarafin of FL; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Frances was predeceased by her three sisters, Josephine Sarafin, Catherine Quirk and Rose De Gruso and her two brothers; Sam Lo Medico and Jospeh Lo Medico.
Her Funeral services will be at 9:30 AM, Tuesday morning, from V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave., Frankfort and at 10 AM, from Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort, where a Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Alfred Lamanna, pastor Emmeritus. Interment will be made in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort. Calling hours will be 4-7 PM, Monday, at V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc..
