Frances J. De John

Herkimer - Frances J. De John, 80, of Herkimer passed away peacefully Sunday, February 4, 2024 in Foltsbrook.

She was born in Ilion, New York on April 16, 1943, the daughter of the late Francis "Bill" and Frances Kinney De John. She attended and graduated from Ilion High School. Frances worked for her father at De John's Remodeling Center, Ilion for many years. Fran was a devout catholic and a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church.

Frances is survived by her cherished brother, William De John of Ilion; two nephews, William De John of Arizona and Travis De John of North Carolina and several cousins. She was predeceased by her mother and father.

Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery later this spring. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Avenue, Frankfort.

A very special thank you to Deborah Sutton for always being there and and for being Franny's "step sister" for so many years. Fran's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of Foltsbrook especially Rose Burrows for their wonderful care and compassion shown to her during her long stay and passing.
