Forbie James Gegler

Mr. Forbie James Gegler Mohawk- Mr. Forbie James Gegler, 60, of 2496 State Rt 168 passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 10, 2006 in Oswego Hospital. He was born in Little Falls on November 8, 1945, the son of the late Forbie and Bernice Goodrich Gegler and he attended Herkimer schools. He served with the US Army as a Military Policeman in Germany and was Honorably Discharged on July 28,1968 with the rank of E4. He was married to Patricia Myers on June 13, 1970 in Schuyler. Mr. Gegler was a Corrections Officer for NYS Department Of Corrections at Midstate Corrections Facility, Marcy until his retirement in 2005. He was a Communicant of St. Francis De Sales Church. Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Gegler; two sons & daughters in law, Robert & his wife, Jean Gegler of Mohawk and Jeffrey & his wife, Kathy Gegler of Herkimer; his grandchildren, Jessica Gegler, Sara Gegler, Robert Gegler and Kieran Gegler; one great grandson, Ryan; one sister, Janet Walczak of Herkimer; his brothers in law, Richard W. Myers and Jerry Walczak and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling Hours will be Sunday from 5-7 PM at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer. His funeral will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
