Florence Margaret Stubbs

Myrtle Beach, SC - Mohawk - Mrs. Florence Margaret Stubbs, 66, of Myrtle Beach, SC and formerly of Mohawk, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 at her residence with her loving husband and sons by her side. Florence was born in Ilion on April 22, 1949 the daughter of Eva Tripple and the late Charles Tripple. Mrs. Stubbs graduated from Mohawk Central High School and then completed several college courses throughout different military assignments with her husband, Arthur. Upon his retirement from the U.S. Air Force, she traveled with him to different contracting jobs, Saudi Arabia, Shepperd AFB, Wichita Falls, TX, Al Udeid AB, Qatar and Thumrait AB, Oman. She is survived by her beloved husband, Arthur Stubbs; her mother, Eva Tripple; two sons and daughters in law, David Stubbs and his wife, Debbie of Conway and Christopher Stubbs, his wife Britnei and their daughter Skylar of Murrells Inlet, SC; one brother and sister in law, Charles and Nadine Tripple of Mohawk; two sisters and brothers in law, Evie and her husband Robert Ashley of Mohawk and Patricia and her husband, Kip Garlock of Mohawk; her brothers in law, Harry W. Stubbs and his wife, Terry of Jackson, NJ, Robert Stubbs and his wife, Ramona of Albany, Walter Stubbs of Ilion and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister in law, Barbara Sorokas and husband Tom Shepherd, mother in law, Francis Stubbs and father in law, Arthur C. Stubbs. A memorial service will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 AM in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave. Frankfort, with Deacon Michael Carbone, officiating. Interment will follow in Oak View Cemetery, Frankfort. Calling hours will be Friday evening from 6-8 PM in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
