Florence T. Majewicz

Mrs. Florence T. Majewicz Hockessin, DE - Mrs. Florence T. Majewicz, 82, of 6525 Lancaster Pike passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009 in Regal Heights Nursing Home, Delaware. She was born in New Britain, Connecticut on January 23, 1926, the daughter of the late Adolf and Hedwig Tomaszewski and she attended New Britain schools. Florence was married to Michael Majewicz in 1944 at St. Joseph's Church in Herkimer. Mr. Majewicz passed away December 13, 1963. Florence received her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Herkimer. She worked as a nurse at Herkimer Hospital and provided private duty nursing care for Home Health Care in Rochester. Florence is survived by one daughter, Kathryn Majewicz of California; three sons, James Majewicz of Virginia, Edward Majewicz of Rochester and Thomas Majewicz of Pennsylvania; one sister, Dorothy Hackett of Connecticut; three brothers, John Tomaszewski, George Tomaszewski, and Timothy Thomas, all of California; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her funeral will be held Sunday, April 5, 2009 at 1:00 pm in the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer with the Rev. Anthony Ligato officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery later this spring. Calling hours will be Sunday from 12:30 until time of services at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home.
