Florence J. Lowell

East Herkimer - Mrs. Florence J. Lowell, 78, of 208 East St. passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010 in Folts Home, Herkimer. Florence was born in Herkimer on May 25, 1931, the daughter of the late John and Bernice Kusbia Waseleski and she attended Herkimer schools. She was married to John "Hop" Lowell on June 24, 1950 in St. Joseph's Church, Herkimer. Mr. Lowell passed away on June 25, 1992. Florence worked as a seamstress for Joy Taylor Dress Shop, Mohawk until her retirement. She was a member of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Florence is survived by one daughter, Denise Sullivan of Salcha, AK, her niece, Marlene and her husband Kevin Gollegly of Herkimer; her life long friends, Gloria Jean Bunce and Family and Doris Ray and Family. She was predeceased by three brothers, Dutchy Waseleski, Eddy Waseleski, Walter Waseleski, three sisters, Jane Kipper, Irene Waseleski and Laura Waseleski and her son in law, Robert "Sully" Sullivan. Her funeral and interment were held at the convenience of her family with her nephew Rev. Eugene Kipper, officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, Herkimer.
