Mrs. Florence F. Bono
Frankfort - Mrs. Florence F. Bono, 90, formerly of Sheldon Ave. passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 in Mohawk Valley Health Care Center with her family by her side.
She was born in Frankfort on March 29, 1928, the daughter of the late Paul and Concetta Polizzi Palumbo and she attended Frankfort schools. She was married to Santo Sandy Bono on September 9, 1947 in St. Mary's Church. Sandy passed away on February 20, 2016. Florence was employed by Univac and later for Price Chopper. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #845, Frankfort.
Florence is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Richard and Grace Bono of Liverpool and Robert and Patricia Bono of Frankfort; one daughter and son in law, Lisa and Steve Tompkins of Liverpool; one brother and sister in law, Anthony and Marie Palumbo of Frankfort; six grandchildren, Melissa and her husband, Mark Stemmer, Matthew Bono and his wife, Brittany, Adam Rowland and his wife, Megan, Kelly Rowland, Andy Bono and Savannah Tompkins; five great-grandchildren, Elijah, Joshua, Gabriel, Jack and Quinn; one sister in law, Jennie Bono of Baldwin, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, Charles Palumbo, Joseph Palumbo and Sam Palumbo and two sisters, Mary Palumbo and Veta Burrell.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 9:45 AM from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 26th from 4-8 PM at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
