Ferdinando P. Galante

Mr. Ferdinando P. Galante Frankfort - Mr. Ferdinando P. Galante, 86, of 146 7th Ave passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born in Manhattan on March 29, 1931, the son of the late Luigi and Antonina Oliva Galante and he attended schools there. He was married to Rosaria Lombardo on January 6, 1961 in Castellamare Del Golfo Pr Trapani. Ferdinando was an Elevator Operator in NYC for many. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. Ferdinando is survived by his beloved wife, Rosaria Galante; three daughters and one son in law, Nina Galante of Frankfort, Giovanna Conley of Vero Beach, FL and Palma and Mark Medici of Utica; three sons and one daughter in law: Luigi Galante and Antonino Galante both of Frankfort and Ferdinando and Joanie Galante of Yorkville; two sisters and one brother in law, Josephine and Mickey Calabro of Maspeth and Vincenza Caccano of Long Island; seven grandchildren, Frank Bonpietro, Giovanna and her husband, Kyle Hallstein, Irene Bonpietro, Drake Galante, Dominique Galante, Felicia Medici and Luke Medici; one great-grandson., Joseph Bonpietro; his in laws, Marie and Leo Buccellato, Peter and Rosa Lombardo, Giuseppe and Anna Marie Lombardo, Vito Lombardo and Enza and Steve Olsen and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Anthony Galante His funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9:45 from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena, pastor. Interment will be in St. Raymond Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 5 from 4-7 PM at V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
