Miss Evelyn Sliwoski Herkimer-Hesperia, CA- Miss Evelyn Sliwoski, 90, of 8430 I Ave Hesperia, CA formerly of Henry St. Herkimer passed away peacefully Friday, May 26, 2006 in her niece Susan's home in Hesperia. She was born in Herkimer on December 2, 1915, the daughter of the late Frank and Eva Andrews Sliwoski and she attended Herkimer schools and graduated from Herkimer High School. She was at one time employed by Remington Arms and later Mungers. Evelyn was a Senior Stenographer for Herkimer County Purchasing Department, Herkimer until her retirement on January 1,1983. She was a member of Sts. Anthony And Joseph Church, Herkimer and Holy Family Church, Hesperia, CA. Evelyn is survived by her sister in law, Joan Sliwoski of New Hartford; her nieces and nephews, Patricia & her husband, Bill Williams of Sausalito, CA, Susan & her husband, Charles Kepler with whom she resided in Hesperia, Gail Godich and Anthony Godich Jr. both of Reno, NV; her great nephew, Kurke Dippel of Reno, NV; great great nephew, Kyle Dippel and several cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters, Stella Sliwoski and Clara Godich; two brothers, Adam Sliwoski and Raymond Sliwoski; one brother in law, Anthony Godich Sr and her very close friends, Emmy & Art Tyler. Her funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 1:00 pm from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer and at 1:30 pm in Sts. Anthony And Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4-7 at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home.
