Frankfort - Mrs. Esther L. Miller, 88, of 3765 St. Rt. 5, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 in her home with her family by her side. She was born in Schuyler on April 22, 1928, the daughter of the late Melvern and Fanny Keyser Geviss and she attended West Canada schools and graduated from West Canada High School. Esther was at one time married to Robert Conley and the two remained friends for the remainder of their lives. She was married to Kenneth Miller on December 29, 1971 in Middleville United Methodist Church. Kenneth passed away on June 21, 2016. Esther was in the Quality Control Department for Partlow, Utica, NY until her retirement in June of 1990. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Esther is survived by two daughters and one son in law, Patricia and Edward Lindsay and Kathleen Conley of Schuyler; three sons and daughters in law, Daniel and Marilyn L. Conley of Newport, David and Cheri Conley of Rome, Mark and Anna Conley of Herkimer and their sister, Kelly and her husband, Thomas Adams of Schuyler; one stepson, Joseph Miller; one step daughter in law, Claudia Miller; sixteen grandchildren, thirty seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one son and daughter in law, Robert W. and Mary Conley; two step-sons, Carl and William Miller and four sisters, Dorothy Moss, Rose Rice, Marian Ferguson and Florence Smith and one brother, Charles Geviss. Her funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort with the Rev. Brian Engel officiating. Interment will be in Oak View Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 4-7 at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Esther's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of Hospice for the wonderful care and kindness shown to her during her final days. A special debt of gratitude to Esther's granddaughter, Michelle Anne Tyson for always being there and helping and guiding them during the most difficult time of their lives. Contributions in Esther's memory may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd, New Hartford, NY 13413. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
