Elizabeth Warkowski

Elizabeth "Betty" Warkowski Elizabeth "Betty" Warkowski, 83, of 14 Catherine St., went to be with the Lord, Sunday morning, September 18, 2005 in Faxton-St. Luke's Health Care Center, New Hartford. She was born on November 18, 1921, in Herkimer, the daughter of the late Samuel and Marie Simonak Dubrava. On June 21, 1941, Betty married Raymond P. Warkowski in Trinity Lutheran Church, Herkimer . Betty was employed as presser for Joy Taylor Dress Co.until retirement in 1977. At one time, she also owned and operatored the Wonderbar in Herkimer and was employed with G.E.. Betty was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Herkimer and the I.L.G.W.U.. She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Raymond; her daughter, Connie Engert of Herkimer; her son, Raymond Warkowski, Jr. of Mohawk; two grandchildren, Kim Torres and Dan Engert; six great grandchildren, Brandon King, Brett King, Samantha Elthorp, Brittany Engert, Kaleigh Engert and DaniLynn Engert. She was predeceased by her brother, Martin Dubrava. Her funeral services will be held 8 PM, Tuesday evening at Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer, with Pastor Ann Zimmerman of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Memorial Gardens at the convienance of the family. Calling hours will be 5-8 PM, Tuesday, at Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home. Contributions in Betty's memory may be offered to the American Heart Association.
