Dorothy Norejko Wainwright

Whitesboro-Mohawk-Mrs. Dorothy Norejko Wainwright, 83, formerly of Whitesboro and Mohawk passed away Monday, September 7, 2009 in Folts Home. She was born in Utica on April 7, 1926, the daughter of the late Albert and Catherine Kozlowski Babiec and she attended local schools. Dorothy was married to John Norejko in May of 1952 in Holy Trinity Church, Utica. John Died in July of 1964. She was later married to Richard Wainwright in 1985 in St. Joseph's Church, Herkimer. Mr. Wainwright passed away in 1991. Dorothy was employed by M.D.S. Herkimer for seventeen years until her retirement in 1984. She was a former communicant of St. Anne's Church, Whitesboro. Dorothy is survived by one son & daughter in law, Richard & Sue Norejko of NC, two daughters & one son in law, Diane & Francis Reina of Frankfort and Catherine Norejko of Herkimer; her step children, Rita & Ted Craska of Newport and Robert & Sue Wainwright of MD; her sister in law, Rose Norejko of Herkimer; her grandchildren, John & his wife, Leslie Norejko, Kristen & her husband, Seth Foxworth, Angela & her husband, Thomas Meiss, Matthew Reina, Marc Reina, Anthony Reina, Vincent Reina; three great grand children, Mariah Metcalf, Christian Norejko and Faith Norejko; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her step father, Claude Brierley. Her funeral will be held Saturday morning, September 19, 2009 at 10:00 in St. Francis De Sales Church, N. Bellinger St Herkimer where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. Mark Cunningham, Pastor. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours. Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer.
