Pompano Beach, Fl - Little Falls - Rome - Mrs. Domenica Margaret Ruffo, 87, formerly of 7077 Stearns Rd., Rome and formerly of Pompano Beach, Fl and Little Falls passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Pittsburg, PA on January 1, 1923, the daughter of the late Frank and Rose Carbone Yetty and she attended Herkimer schools. Margaret was married to Peter Ruffo on July 24, 1948 in Herkimer. Mr. Ruffo passed away on October 2, 1990. Mrs. Ruffo was the Owner and Operator of Yetty's Pizzaria, Herkimer for many years until her retirement in 1980. She was a communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, Herkimer and St. Elizabeth's of Pompano Beach. She was the Social Director and past President of Highland Meadows Estates
Margaret is survived by her beloved daughter and son in law, Rosemary And James Hafete of Utica; two grandchildren, Renee Taylor and Peter Primeau; one sister, Yolanda Kucerak of Herkimer; her sister in law, Annette Ruffo of Little Falls of Little Falls and eight great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Paul Yetty and one sister, Josephine Sanganetti.
Her funeral will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, S. Main St., Herkimer with the Rev. Thomas Vail. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours.
Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer.
