Frankfort - Mrs. Doloris B. Sciortino, 75, of 522 S. Litchfield Street passed away peacefully Friday, April 23, 2010 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Utica on December 8, 1934, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Lash. She attended Utica schools and graduated from UCA with the class of 1952. She was married to Michael Sciortino on May 27, 1984 in St Mary's Church, Frankfort. Doloris was employed as a Supervisor for Partlow, Utica until her retirement in 1998. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the Daughters of Columbus and the Business & Professional Woman's Organization.
Doloris is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Sciortino; one son and daughter in law, Anthony and his wife, Heather Sciortino of Mechanicsburg, PA; two sisters and one brother in law, Frances Roback of Utica and Patricia and Chuck Schaffer of Portland, MN and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Louis Lash.
Her funeral will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 AM from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave., Frankfort and at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the V.Rev. Anthony Barratt and assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery for Doloris and her mother in law, Marion immediately following mass. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
